I reached out to Adrienne for her dog-walking services, but I chose her specifically for her experience as a dog trainer and working with behavioral issues. My rescued Australian Shepard needed work with his leash manners and his reactivity to anything moving (cars, people on bikes, people walking by…). Adrienne spent the first few sessions building trust with him, since he tends to dislike new people - he definitely tested limits with her, but she was so patient and consistent and was able to win over his trust and respect. He has come so far since starting his weekly sessions with Adrienne. He is less reactive and much more responsive to direction, and is learning how to be patient. He LOVES his sessions with Adrienne; the physical and mental stimulation are so awesome for his busy brain!

I can honestly say Adrienne has been a life saver to our family.  She has always went above and beyond helping us.  I live in the middle of nowhere and Adrienne didn’t hesitate to come to our place to educate us and our dogs (mostly us).  Then after a series of unfortunate events, where I was literally at the end of my rope, Adrienne didn’t hesitate to step in and help us do what was best for our family.  Even after other trainers belittled me and made me feel like I was a horrible dog mom, Adrienne stepped in and broke things down in simple, easy to understand steps and gave me the tools to rebuild my confidence and thereby helping my dogs confidence.  I am proud to say I can now walk my rescue Pitbull on a loose leash and bring him into new situations with confidence.  He even comes to 4-H with my daughter and I now!  Adrienne understands dog behavior and I love that she is always learning and continuing her education to help others.  I have (and will continue) to recommend her to friends and family.  I could go on and on about how amazing she is but I think you get the point.  You can trust Adrienne with your furry best friend.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience with Passionate Paws. I first met Adrienne at a local pet store while I was very new to the area. She went well beyond my expectations of a dog walker. Adrienne is incredibly flexible and easy going that she is able to accommodate last minute requests! She is also incredibly knowledgable that she has become my go-to for any training/behavioral issues I have run into. No matter what, Adrienne is there and available to speak about any issues and outline an action plan to move forward. Her true love for dogs really shows in all the work she does taking care of my dog, Taco, while I am at work. It is hard to leave Taco at home everyday, however it is reassuring that when I tell him "Adrienne is coming!" he knows what that means and he immediately gets excited! This truly proves how passionate Adrienne is about dogs and how she genuinely cares for Taco. She truly has gone above and beyond. Thank you Adrienne!

Adrienne has been walking Jack and Ruby for several months now and we couldn’t be happier. Not only does she provide exercise for our dogs while we are at work, but she has also taught our 120 lb Jack some much needed leash manners.

When it was too cold outside to go for a walk, Adrienne would find an indoor location to take the dogs and work with them. They always come home tired and happy. She is reliable, trustworthy, and most importantly,  my dogs love spending time with her.

I’ve had aggression issues with my dog since he was a pup.   Anyone who has been in this situation knows the impact it has on your daily life.  You can’t socialize them with other dogs so you can’t take them to the dog park.  Even a walk had its challenges from having to cross the street to avoid another dog to worrying about running into a dog off leash.   I always felt so defeated after a walk with Hudson. I tried him at doggy daycare, and he would be kenneled separately from the other dogs and exercised on his own.  They didn’t trust him with the other dogs. Giving him up was never an option so I just kept trying different trainers without any results.

Then we found Adrienne. Hudson trusts Adrienne more than he has any other human.  He senses her leadership and looks to her for direction. I watch him when he’s with her and he will sit in front of her, staring up at her, waiting for her to tell him what to do next.   I was amazed the first time I saw him do that because he never did it with me! She took the time to get to know Hudson and got to the root of his issue and she didn’t show any fear of what could happen knowing his history.   She knows exactly when to do a correction and how much of a correction is needed so your dog understands when a behavior is unwanted. Hudson knows what to expect from her and I believe this allows him to feel secure knowing he doesn’t have to figure it all out on his own.  He still misbehaves with me and we still have bad days, but I can control these situations better because I’ve learned you must let go of your fear of what happened in the past and live in the moment with your dog.

It gives me hope when I see Hudson behaving like a normal dog with Adrienne and her kids.     I’m learning to trust my dog because Adrienne has allowed me to see what’s possible when you do!

Adrienne Copland - Passionate Paws –Thank goodness my path crossed with this amazing lady.  We had just lost our old dogs, a yellow lab (13) with a very gentle soul and an aussie (18) that was full of life.  Our acreage became very quiet with no dogs on patrol so we went a got a PUP a german shepherd pup that was actually an insecure babe with no manners and an attitude.  I didn’t know how to get this dog to behave and I really didn’t like her very much, so I started my search for help.  We found Adrienne, thank goodness, she has been a god send.  She taught us how to work with Koda - leash skills, recall, place (boundaries), socializing her with pack walks.  She even lends me one of her pack to come and hang out with Koda, so she can see what it’s like to be a dog.  Adrienne gave us tools and homework!  I now am confident to take Koda anywhere and know that she will pay attention to me.  Adrienne encourages us to keep throwing new things at her, Koda is still nervous around new people  and situations.  Working with Koda is a commitment  I’m willing to make, because I truly want my dog to be the best she can be!  Thank you Adrienne for being dedicated to the dogs and owners and of course for becoming part of my family!  If you have any issues with your dog I would highly recommend Adrienne!!!
